The iTunes Remote app has today received an update to support the upcoming iPad Pro 11- and 12.9-inch screen resolutions. The update, version 4.4.1, also brings some other bug fixes and stability improvements to the table. Shortcuts and TestFlight have also been updated for the new iPad Pros.
Today’s update improves overall network connectivity, as well as makes it easier to access now playing and the AirPlay menu, and new shortcuts for play and shuffle for playlists and albums.
In addition to iTunes Remote, the Apple TV Remote and Apple Store apps are also seeing updates with improved performance and stability on both accounts.
The last iTunes Remote app update brought support for the iPhone X, as well as a new app icon. While the iTunes Remote can pair with an Apple TV, the Apple TV Remote app gives you more controls such as a dedicated TV button, volume control (if your TV supports it), and a Siri/dictation button.
Apple TV remote, iTunes Remote, and the Apple Store apps are available as free downloads for iPhone and iPad on the App Store.
