Jersey Shore’s Ronnie is not facing felony charges after his blowout fight with ex-girlfriend, Jen Harley. The two have been struggling with their relationship for over a year now, usually leading to significant blowout fights that show the dark side of their relationship.

On October 4, Ortiz-Magro and Harley were embroiled in a physical altercation that led to the reality star being tased. The Los Angeles Police Department promptly issued an emergency protective order against Ortiz-Magro - which was effective until October 11 - following his arrest for the domestic violence incident against Harley. The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star had to stay at least 100 yards away from his girlfriend. Harley could have extended the order of protection, but did not return to court on her specific date, so the protective order was lifted.

The reality star had luck on his side when he avoided the felony charge that came from his Los Angeles altercation with Harley. During the incident, Ortiz-Magro was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and kidnapping their daughter, Ariana Sky. But, according to E!, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has officially deferred the MTV personality’s case to the City Attorney. In a released statement, a spokesman for the City Attorney’s Office said that there are no plans to review Ortiz-Magro’s case or the allegations that were brought against him. If he were to be charged with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, the reality star could have faced up to one year in county jail. The District Attorney’s office also declined to charge Ortiz-Magro with the kidnapping of his daughter.

Right after the alleged incident, Ortiz-Magro’s attorney released a statement saying that the so-called incident was based on pure speculation and that his law firm is currently conducting their own investigation into the night in question. On the other hand, Harley and her lawyer still maintain that she was a victim of a heinous crime. Harley said that her priority was to protect herself and her 18-month-old daughter.

Thankfully, for fans, the couple has once again called it quits. Both parties say the relationship is over for good now and there will be no turning back. Ortiz-Magro admitted that the two do not work well together and, for the sake of their daughter, they need to be apart. Since the breakup, the Jersey Shore star has been spending some quality time with Ariana and looking toward his future.
