Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro opened up about “outgrowing” his ex, Jen Harley. The two hotheads have finally seemed to see the light and realize they are just not good together.
Ortiz-Magro and Harley have called it quits once again, this time claiming it’s for good. The couple first met back in 2017 and most recently they broke up in early September - only to get back together within two weeks. Both have had a history of turning on one another, with Harley physically assaulting him with her car and now Ronnie allegedly running after her with a knife. Sadly, for the once-popular reality star, his post-rehab life has not been as smooth as he might have hoped.
According to Us Weekly, Ortiz-Magro finally opened up about how he had decided to move on from his toxic relationship with Harley. In an Instagram story that the reality star posted on October 19, the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star wrote a cryptic message that said he was “outgrowing people.” The messages came after he announced yet another split from his girlfriend. The reality star and father wrote that he learned it was OK to outgrow people in your life and that choosing to walk away shouldn’t be a negative experience. The 33-year-old seemed to be using the advice he had learned while away during his rehab stint as he also posted that everyone should protect their peace of mind.
At the beginning of the month, fans will recall that Ortiz-Magro was arrested for allegedly physically harming Harley while the two were with their daughter in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Ortiz-Magro was uncooperative when the officers arrived at the scene and they were forced to used minor force on him, ultimately tasing him to the ground. The Jersey Shore star shared custody of their 18-month-old daughter, Ariana Sky, with Harley and said he was only trying to protect his daughter from a very drunk Harley. The MTV personality was arrested for kidnapping and released later the same day after his $100,000 bail was posted. He was then issued an emergency protective order, which mandated him to stay 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend. The order was lifted on October 11 after Harley failed to appear in court.
To say fans are relieved is an understatement as the two have gone back and forth for months, hurting each other. Many have longed to see the old Ronnie from when the show first began - back when he was happy and carefree. Now, with Harley out of the picture for good, Ortiz-Magro can put his energy into raising his daughter and concentrating on living a sober life.
